Résumé
Dans cet article, nous examinons de manière critique la conception des plateformes de médias sociaux grand public du point de vue des expériences et des perspectives autistes, en nous inspirant du mouvement de la neurodiversité, de la notion de l'autisme comme neurodivergence et du concept de socialité autiste. Nous avons mené 12 séances de conception participative avec 20 collaborateurs adultes autistes. Grâce à une analyse thématique de données qualitatives, nous identifions sept difficultés que nos participants ont rencontrées lors de l'utilisation des médias sociaux, ainsi qu'un ensemble de fonctionnalités imaginées qui représentent leur vision de la manière dont la conception pourrait mieux soutenir leur utilisation des médias sociaux. Nous expliquons que les plateformes de médias sociaux grand public sont principalement conçues pour répondre aux sensibilités neurotypiques et échouent à répondre aux besoins des adultes autistes en raison d'un manque de contrôle de l'utilisateur, de mécanismes inadéquats pour exprimer le ton et l'intention, et d'une orientation vers les interactions phatiques. Pour conclure, nous présentons comment la socialité autiste peut inspirer la conception de plateformes de médias sociaux plus bienveillantes et plus attentionnées.
