La recherche et la pratique éducatives reposent souvent sur des hypothèses normatives concernant la communication qui privilégient des formes d’interaction rapides, transparentes et neuronormatives, limitant la reconnaissance de la participation neurodivergente. Cet article conceptuel propose un cadre affirmant la neurodiversité en intégrant plusieurs courants théoriques – l’élaboration participative de sens, la perception incarnée, l’opacité relationnelle, l’Être Avec et les dynamiques de flux incarné – dans un modèle cohérent qui réinterprète l’interaction en classe comme un processus écologique et co-créatif. Notre principale contribution consiste à appliquer ce cadre intégré au niveau de mécanismes concrets de la classe, en montrant comment les écologies sensorielles, le rythme interactionnel et la coordination incarnée façonnent les possibilités d’élaboration participative de sens. Nous soutenons que les moments de rupture communicationnelle dans des contextes de neurotypes mixtes reflètent des désalignements écologiques et des normes épistémiques, plutôt que des propriétés situées au sein des individus. Une autre dimension novatrice est l’analyse transdisciplinaire, qui met en dialogue de manière constructive des perspectives philosophiques, empiriques et éducatives afin de favoriser un passage de la correction vers la conception d’environnements inclusifs qui soutiennent des rythmes incarnés divers et font place à des formes d’engagement non normatives, contribuant à faire passer l’inclusion de l’idéal à la pratique. Résumé vulgarisé La recherche éducative et les pratiques en classe reposent souvent sur des idées étroites concernant la communication. Ces idées valorisent généralement les réponses rapides, l’expression verbale claire et des manières d’interagir socialement « typiques ». Par conséquent, de nombreuses formes de participation neurodivergente sont négligées ou mal comprises. Cet article soutient que les difficultés de communication en classe ne sont pas causées par les élèves neurodivergents eux-mêmes. Elles découlent plutôt souvent de la manière dont les environnements d’apprentissage sont conçus et des attentes quant à l’apparence que devrait avoir la communication. L’article rassemble différentes façons de penser l’interaction, le corps et les relations afin de montrer que l’apprentissage est quelque chose que les personnes créent ensemble, au fil du temps et par le biais d’expériences sensorielles et émotionnelles partagées. L’article présente une nouvelle manière de comprendre l’interaction en classe en se concentrant sur des caractéristiques quotidiennes telles que les environnements sensoriels, le rythme de l’interaction et la manière dont les personnes coordonnent leurs mouvements, leur attention et leurs émotions. Dans cette perspective, les moments d’incompréhension ou de silence ne sont pas des échecs, mais des signaux indiquant que l’environnement ne soutient peut-être pas tout le monde de manière égale. En combinant des idées issues de la philosophie, de la recherche et de l’éducation, cet article souligne l’importance de concevoir des espaces d’apprentissage qui permettent différents styles de communication, rythmes et manières d’être ensemble. L’objectif est de soutenir des environnements éducatifs plus inclusifs qui valorisent les manières neurodivergentes de s’engager, faisant passer l’inclusion d’un idéal abstrait à la pratique quotidienne.
