Résumé
Les recherches sur les étudiants universitaires autistes et LGBTQ ont mis en évidence des thèmes de marginalisation, de divulgation sélective et d'efforts visant à construire une communauté et à résister à l'oppression. Cependant, peu de travaux se sont concentrés sur les étudiants universitaires autistes LGBTQ et sur la manière dont ils comprennent et gèrent leurs identités multiples. Pour combler cette lacune, nous avons utilisé l'enquête narrative afin de comprendre comment huit étudiants universitaires s'identifiant à la fois comme autistes et LGBTQ évoluaient dans l'enseignement supérieur. Nous avons utilisé le modèle reconceptualisé des dimensions multiples de l'identité comme cadre pour comprendre comment les étudiants donnaient sens à leurs identités. Nos résultats ont indiqué que ces étudiants accordaient la priorité aux identités saillantes selon le contexte, géraient la visibilité de leurs identités et exprimaient des difficultés à participer aux communautés LGBTQ et/ou autistes.
