Objectif L'objectif de cette étude est d'explorer les besoins de soutien concernant les relations intimes et la sexualité d'adultes autistes bénéficiant d'une aide sociale financée en Angleterre. Conception/méthodologie/approche Des entretiens semi-structurés avec 15 adultes autistes bénéficiant d'une aide sociale financée ont examiné leurs besoins de soutien concernant les relations intimes et la sexualité, suivis d'une analyse des données au moyen d'une analyse thématique réflexive. Résultats Quatre thèmes ont été générés : Une aide à portée de main, mais pas trop près pour être à l'aise, Pas de « règles toutes faites » : des approches personnalisées et inclusives, Jouer la sécurité, sans attendre trop longtemps, et Une éducation et un soutien informés par l'autisme. Implications pratiques Les auteurs ont produit un module d'apprentissage en ligne destiné au personnel de l'aide sociale en Angleterre sur les bonnes pratiques pour soutenir les adultes autistes sans déficience intellectuelle concernant les relations et la sexualité. Originalité/valeur À la connaissance des auteurs, aucune autre recherche menée au Royaume-Uni n'a été publiée à ce jour sur les besoins de soutien en aide sociale des adultes autistes sans déficience intellectuelle concernant les relations, le genre et la sexualité.
