Les enfants et les jeunes Autistes recevant une thérapie familiale centrée sur les troubles des conduites alimentaires (FT-ED) pour l'anorexie mentale (AN) sont plus susceptibles que leurs pairs non Autistes de nécessiter un traitement plus long et plus intensif. Des données qualitatives suggèrent que les jeunes Autistes et leurs parents rencontrent des difficultés face à une prestation perçue comme inflexible de la FT-ED, qui peut être inadaptée aux besoins autistiques. Les cliniciens dispensant ces soins signalent un manque de confiance lorsqu'ils adaptent la FT-ED à cette population, et les recommandations sur la manière de procéder sont limitées. Cet article décrit des lignes directrices fondées sur des données probantes et coproduites, élaborées au moyen d'une série d'ateliers réunissant des personnes Autistes ayant une expérience vécue d'un trouble des conduites alimentaires, des parents et des aidants, des cliniciens, des chercheurs et des représentants du troisième secteur. Ces lignes directrices visent à soutenir les cliniciens dans l'adaptation de la FT-ED pour les jeunes Autistes atteints d'AN et leurs familles, afin de dispenser des soins plus appropriés et plus efficaces. Les jeunes et leurs parents ou aidants peuvent également trouver ces lignes directrices utiles pour défendre des soins affirmant l'autisme au sein de la FT-ED.
