Résumé
Les refugies sont susceptibles d avoir vecu des traumatismes considerables au cours de leur vie, encore davantage s ils sont autistes. L « environnement hostile » cree au Royaume-Uni afin de reduire le nombre de refugies demandant l asile est susceptible d avoir exacerbe les difficultes rencontrees par les refugies, y compris en termes d acces aux services de sante. Les refugies detenus en vertu de la loi sur la sante mentale de 1983 peuvent subir des pratiques restrictives et etre ainsi exposes a des traumatismes supplementaires ou a une retraumatisation. Cet article se concentre en particulier sur les effets nocifs de l isolement cellulaire sur les refugies autistes et examine comment les professionnels de sante peuvent utiliser le modele HOPE(S) pour soutenir cette population.
