Résumé
Avant la pandémie, l'ergothérapie (OT) en télésanté pour les enfants autistes semblait prometteuse, mais les recherches étaient limitées. La pandémie a fourni une occasion unique d'étudier la manière dont les cliniques sont passées à la télésanté. L'objectif de cette étude était d'examiner les obstacles et les facilitateurs qui ont influencé la prestation de services d'OT par télésanté pour les enfants autistes pendant la pandémie. Nous avons mené des entretiens qualitatifs semi-structurés avec 13 participants (trois administrateurs, six OT et quatre parents d'enfants autistes) dans trois cliniques de la région de Los Angeles sur une période de 7 mois. Nous avons utilisé une analyse narrative et thématique pour identifier quatre thèmes. Nous avons identifié a) les défis et b) les facilitateurs de la réalisation de l'OT en télésanté, y compris des stratégies pratiques pour une facilitation réussie, ainsi que c) les résultats négatifs et d) les résultats positifs de la réalisation de l'OT en télésanté. Comme la télésanté restera probablement un moyen viable de prestation de services d'OT à l'avenir, nos résultats fournissent des indications sur les moyens de l'améliorer et de la maintenir.
