Comment utilisons-nous Dimensions ?

L’équipe utilise un outil interne s’appuyant sur Dimensions pour repérer des articles susceptibles de mentionner des auteur·ices autistes. Cette page décrit cet outil et ses critères de recherche actuels. Il s’agit d’un des moyens de trouver des publications pour le projet ; les autres sources et modalités d’ajout sont présentées sur la page Sources d’information.

D’une correspondance à un examen

L’outil combine deux questions : le titre ou le résumé contient-il des termes relatifs à l’autisme, et le texte indexé comporte-t-il une formulation susceptible de concerner des auteur·ices autistes ? Les expressions sont organisées en groupes, des déclarations les plus ciblées aux formulations plus exploratoires.

Il peut s’agir, par exemple, d’une déclaration explicite qu’un·e auteur·ice est autiste, d’une autodescription comme chercheur·euse autiste ou d’une mention collective concernant les auteur·ices. D’autres groupes recherchent des mots proches ou des déclarations de positionnalité, dans lesquelles les chercheur·euses expliquent le rapport entre leurs expériences, leur position et leur travail.

Une correspondance propose un article à examiner. Elle ne l’intègre pas automatiquement au projet et n’identifie aucune personne comme autiste.

Que recherche-t-on, et que vérifie-t-on ?

L’outil actuel recherche les notices classées comme articles par Dimensions. Les expressions ci-dessous contiennent la condition portant sur le titre ou le résumé, suivie des autres conditions de recherche. Le type de publication et les limites de dates pertinentes sont appliqués séparément.

Dimensions peut rechercher dans le texte indexé d’un article même si ce texte n’est pas directement lisible dans son interface. Cette couverture est incomplète, et une correspondance ne garantit pas l’accès à la publication. Sa recherche dans les titres et résumés couvre aussi certains termes d’indexation supplémentaires. AutiHub vérifie donc le titre et le résumé effectivement renvoyés avant de retenir une correspondance thématique à examiner. Consulter la documentation des index de recherche Dimensions.

Les expressions affichées utilisent la syntaxe saisie par l’équipe. Les guillemets regroupent une expression ; AND combine des conditions ; OR propose des alternatives ; l’astérisque prolonge une racine de mot. Une valeur telle que ~2 ou ~4 autorise des variations de proximité dans une expression. Il s’agit d’une règle du moteur de recherche, et non d’une vérification du sens de la phrase. Les expressions conservent leur formulation originale dans les deux langues de cette page.

Pourquoi l’examen humain est-il indispensable ?

Un article peut parler de participant·es autistes, citer une autre personne ou décrire une équipe consultative sans dire qu’un·e auteur·ice est autiste. Les personnes chargées de l’examen lisent le passage dans son contexte et distinguent les auteur·ices autistes nommé·es, les auteur·ices autistes non identifié·es individuellement et les autres personnes contributrices qui ne sont pas auteur·ices. Seules les deux premières situations répondent au critère de présence d’auteur·ices autistes du projet.

Pour déterminer si un passage identifie un·e auteur·ice comme autiste, les personnes chargées de l’examen se réfèrent à ce qui est écrit dans la langue d’origine et à son contexte. Une traduction peut aider à comprendre le passage, mais une traduction automatique ne doit pas suffire à trancher une formulation ambiguë. Si le sens reste incertain, le cas doit rester ouvert pour un examen complémentaire ou une clarification.

L’examen vérifie aussi que le travail concerne l’autisme. Les cas ambigus peuvent rester à compléter ou à vérifier, notamment lorsque la publication complète n’est pas accessible. Une correspondance de mots-clés ne suffit pas à elle seule comme preuve. Comprendre comment le projet documente la présence d’auteur·ices autistes.

Recherches manuelles et veille

L’équipe peut lancer des recherches dans les publications anciennes ou sur une période choisie. Lorsqu’elle est activée, la veille nocturne recherche les notices nouvellement indexées dans Dimensions : une publication ancienne ajoutée récemment peut donc être repérée. Le recouvrement des périodes et des vérifications complémentaires contribuent à prendre en compte les informations tardives, sans garantir la détection de chaque modification ultérieure.

Les recherches répétées reconnaissent les publications déjà rencontrées et préservent les décisions d’examen antérieures. Les requêtes sont espacées et traitées progressivement pour respecter les limites du service. La veille aide l’équipe ; les articles nouvellement repérés restent à examiner.

Comprendre les priorités et les limites

Les groupes ci-dessous présentent les critères actuellement configurés pour les nouvelles recherches. Les nombres de priorité les plus petits correspondent aux groupes examinés d’abord. Ils ne mesurent ni la probabilité qu’une personne soit autiste, ni la qualité d’une publication. Les groupes plus exploratoires peuvent retrouver des travaux pertinents supplémentaires, mais aussi davantage de correspondances sans rapport.

Les formulations évoluent à partir de l’expérience de l’équipe. Les langues, les termes employés, les résumés manquants et l’indexation inégale des textes peuvent laisser des travaux pertinents hors des résultats. Des recherches antérieures ont pu utiliser d’autres critères ; cette méthode ne doit pas être comprise comme exhaustive.

Rechercher une affirmation concernant un auteur ou coauteur. Les ajouts utilisent une construction grammaticale complète : has/have, was/were diagnosed, is/are, identifies/identify. Aucun marqueur de positionalité n’est imposé.

Rechercher une mention locale d’identité près d’un rôle d’auteur, avec un marqueur de positionalité/réflexivité obligatoire dans le document. AuDHD est traité dans les deux ordres à ~2. Asperger et ASD restent associés à un diagnostic ou à une affirmation complète ; les formulations spectrum demeurent courtes.
