La prise en charge et le traitement des comportements sexuels préjudiciables (HSBs) chez les adolescents autistes constituent un domaine complexe de la recherche et de la pratique clinique. Les adolescents autistes rencontrent des difficultés particulières pour comprendre les interactions sociales et sexuelles, ce qui les expose à un risque plus élevé d'adopter des HSBs. Les recherches existantes sur les interventions relatives aux HSBs chez les adultes autistes sont en expansion, mais les données concernant les adolescents sont mal comprises. Ainsi, il est crucial de comprendre l'efficacité des interventions ciblant les HSBs chez les adolescents autistes. Nous avons réalisé une évaluation rapide des données probantes afin d'examiner les recherches évaluées par les pairs sur l'efficacité des interventions destinées aux adolescents autistes risquant de présenter ou présentant des HSBs. Au total, 12 études répondaient aux critères de l'examen. Les critères d'inclusion exigeaient que les articles soient publiés dans une revue à comité de lecture, portent sur la prévention et l'intervention relatives aux HSBs chez des adolescents âgés de 12 à 18 ans présentant un trouble du spectre de l'autisme, soient rédigés en anglais et incluent des données originales. Six bases de données ont été utilisées, et nous avons examiné les titres et les résumés de 34 études. Les études examinées décrivaient la thérapie cognitivo-comportementale, les interventions pharmacologiques, l'implication de la famille et les approches d'équipe multidisciplinaire pour traiter les HSBs. Toutefois, la littérature présente des limites importantes et nous suggérons qu'elle n'est pas suffisamment solide pour indiquer une approche prometteuse fondée sur des données probantes pour les interventions destinées aux adolescents autistes risquant de présenter ou qui manifestent et adoptent des HSBs, et les résultats ne sont pas transférables à la pratique. Des recherches supplémentaires sont nécessaires afin de mieux préparer les professionnels de santé à traiter les HSBs chez les adolescents autistes.
