Abstract

Este artículo propone una reflexión crítica sobre las tensiones históricas y actuales entre los conocimientos dominantes sobre el autismo y los conocimientos autistas, destacando su relación con la neuronormatividad. Analiza las injusticias epistémicas sufridas por las personas y comunidades a/Autistas, demostrando cómo el conocimiento autista es a menudo marginado y desacreditado por los grupos dominantes. Se moviliza el concepto de neurodiversidad para ilustrar y denunciar la negativa de estos grupos a reconocer y utilizar el conocimiento autista, actitud que perpetúa la estigmatización y opresión de las personas y comunidades autistas. Del mismo modo, los fenómenos del doble problema de la empatía y el camuflaje social se utilizan para ilustrar y criticar la Neurodiversity Lite y la instrumentalización de los recursos hermenéuticos desarrollados por las personas a/Autistas. El artículo concluye con una invitación a cultivar la humildad epistémica y adoptar una postura comprometida y militante de autoempoderamiento, o una combinación de estas posturas, para romper con las prácticas que generan injusticias epistémicas y con la Neurodiversity Lite.
