About the autistic author marker

The Autistic Autism Scholarship Project documents scientific publications authored or co-authored by at least one person identified as autistic. At this stage, it includes authors of peer-reviewed scientific publications about autism, as well as authors of scientific publications identifiable by a DOI.

In publication lists, an asterisk next to a name indicates that the person is recorded as autistic in the Autistic Autism Scholarship Project. The same marker may also appear in cited bibliographies when a cited author is already included in the project.

This marker is added only after the AutiHub team has reviewed the available information. It indicates that the person has either publicly identified themselves as autistic, in writing or orally, or privately authorised the site maintainers to record this information.

Anyone whose name appears on AutiHub may use the contact page to request that the marker be added, corrected or removed.
