Scientific reference citation checks

This project checks how closely a cited bibliographic reference corresponds to the scientific reference that can actually be identified. For example, when a person or organization mentions a study in a public post, the cited authors, year, title, journal and DOI can be compared with metadata from the real publication.

The goal is to detect possible irregularities in cited references and, when a corpus is analyzed systematically, to estimate how frequent and how severe they are. The project provides both a tool for testing individual citations and structured corpus analyses with scores, visual summaries and verification links.
