Résumé
Contexte Le but de la présente recherche était d'analyser l'impact d'un message éducatif incorporant des informations descriptives, explicatives et directives sur les attitudes de jeunes adultes envers un pair présentant un autisme de haut niveau (HFA). Méthode Des étudiants en ingénierie (N = 104) ont complété l'Échelle multidimensionnelle des attitudes à 3 moments : avant le message éducatif, après celui-ci, puis 1 mois plus tard. Le message a été délivré par le biais d'une vidéo avec voix hors champ ou en direct par un acteur jouant le rôle d'un adulte avec HFA dans une situation d'interaction personnalisée. Résultats Les participants dans la condition d'interaction personnalisée ont manifesté des attitudes significativement plus positives que les participants du groupe témoin et des conditions avec voix hors champ. Conclusions Même un bref message éducatif, combiné à une situation d'interaction personnalisée, peut influencer les attitudes des adultes. La généralisation d'une telle amélioration au groupe externe (c.-à-d., les personnes sur le spectre) devra être discutée.
