Résumé
Objectif Le but de cette étude était de développer un outil d'évaluation afin de soutenir et de promouvoir des normes claires, précises et transparentes, ainsi que la cohérence, lors de la conduite, de la présentation et de l'évaluation de la recherche communautaire. Plan Les recommandations actuelles pour l'élaboration de lignes directrices de présentation ont été utilisées, avec trois différences essentielles : (1) une analyse des guides, principes et publications existants concernant l'engagement, l'implication et la participation de la communauté dans la recherche, à l'aide de cartes situationnelles et relationnelles ; (2) des retours d'information et des essais pilotes par une équipe de recherche communautaire ; et (3) l'évaluation de l'utilité et de la facilité d'utilisation de l'outil d'évaluation. Résultats Après une série de révisions itératives, l'outil d'évaluation Community-Partnered Research (CPR) résultant a donné lieu à trois produits : un format prospectif élaboré, un format rétrospectif de base et un format de liste de contrôle supplémentaire. Les trois versions de l'outil d'évaluation CPR comprennent 11 éléments principaux sous forme de questions, accompagnés d'invites correspondantes visant à faciliter la sensibilisation, la responsabilité et la transparence concernant les processus et pratiques employés par les chercheurs professionnels et les co-chercheurs communautaires tout au long de quatre phases de la recherche : (1) partenariat et planification, (2) méthodes, (3) résultats et (4) pérennisation. Conclusion Nous espérons que l'introduction de cet outil contribuera à faire évoluer les processus et pratiques individuels et systématiques vers des partenariats équitables, un caractère digne de confiance réciproque et l'autonomisation parmi les chercheurs professionnels et les co-chercheurs communautaires et, à son tour, à améliorer la qualité des connaissances co-créées qui bénéficient aux communautés et créent un changement social.
