Resume Cette etude qualitative explore les repercussions de l'autisme sur les relations de couple, en mettant en evidence a la fois les difficultes et les possibilites de croissance pour 24 parents d'enfants autistes. L'etude releve un stress important, des conflits et une intimite reduite parmi les couples parentaux en raison des exigences liees a la prestation de soins, ce qui entraine des relations tendues dans de nombreux cas. Cependant, elle constate egalement que certains couples parentaux connaissent des liens renforces grace aux difficultes partagees, a une meilleure communication et au travail d'equipe. L'etude montre que faire face aux difficultes liees au role de parent d'un enfant autiste peut soit mettre a rude epreuve, soit renforcer les relations de couple, souvent en fonction de la capacite du couple a communiquer et a se soutenir mutuellement. Les resultats suggerent la necessite de conseils relationnels adaptes et de ressources de gestion du stress pour les couples, et plaident en faveur de reseaux de soutien social inclusifs et comprehensifs afin d'alleger les pressions particulieres auxquelles sont confrontes les parents.
