Résumé
L'utilisation et la compréhension des règles d'expression autopromotionnelle (SPDRs) ont été étudiées chez 21 enfants présentant un autisme de haut niveau de fonctionnement (HFA), 18 enfants présentant un trouble d'Asperger (AspD) et 20 enfants au développement typique (TD) (tous de sexe masculin, âgés de 4 à 11 ans, appariés selon l'âge mental). Leur comportement a été codé au cours d'un scénario de tromperie afin d'évaluer l'utilisation des SPDRs ; la compréhension des SPDRs a été évaluée au moyen de trois vignettes portant sur la compréhension des émotions réelles/apparentes. Les enfants présentant un HFA et un AspD ont utilisé des SPDRs moins efficaces que les enfants TD, mais aucune différence entre les groupes n'a été observée dans la compréhension des SPDRs. Les enfants présentant un HFA et un AspD ne différaient ni quant à leur utilisation ni quant à leur compréhension des SPDRs, et les résultats sont discutés en relation avec les similitudes et les différences entre ces conditions diagnostiques.
