Résumé
Les personnes présentant un trouble du spectre de l'autisme (TSA) montrent une altération des interactions sociales et de la communication, qui peut être liée à leurs difficultés de production de la parole. Afin d'étudier les mécanismes de la production atypique de la parole dans cette population, nous avons examiné le contrôle par rétroaction en retardant la rétroaction auditive de leur propre parole, ce qui a dégradé la fluidité de la parole. Nous avons également examiné le contrôle anticipatif en ajoutant un bruit rose intense à la rétroaction auditive, ce qui a entraîné un effort vocal accru lors de la production de la parole. Les résultats obtenus chez des locuteurs japonais montrent que, par rapport aux personnes neurotypiques (NT), les adultes à haut niveau de fonctionnement présentant un TSA (y compris le trouble d'Asperger, le trouble autistique et le trouble envahissant du développement non spécifié) étaient davantage affectés par la rétroaction auditive retardée, mais moins affectés par le bruit externe. Ces résultats indiquent que, contrairement aux personnes NT, les personnes présentant un TSA s'appuyaient davantage sur le contrôle par rétroaction que sur le contrôle anticipatif dans la production de la parole, ce qui est cohérent avec l'hypothèse selon laquelle cette population présente des a priori bayésiens atténués.
