Résumé

Research question: What is the experience of autistic adults and adolescents who previously received a mental health misdiagnosis? mental health misdiagnosis will not require the diagnosis to be officially overturned, but focus on the perceived component, which champions the individuals interpretations, rather than diagnostic accuracy. It acknowledges the subjective experience and what autistic people found helpful. The primary objective is to synthesise the existing qualitative literature exploring autistic people's lived experiences of a perceived mental health misdiagnosis.
