Abstract

This chapter is a dialogical autoethnography, within which the second author provides mentorship and support by facilitating a conversation with the first author, and responding to her questions through a series of email exchanges and Zoom meetings. As their working relationship develops and the conversation unfolds, the neoliberal cultural context in which the first author critically writes, and how this intersects with her autobiographical account, becomes apparent. Her underlying insecurities and vulnerabilities regarding her present circumstances and the uncertain times in which she writes and lives are revealed.
