Abstract

Aim: to carry out a realist review of healthcare for Autistic adults. Research Questions: 1. What physical healthcare do Autistic adults receive? 2. What barriers and facilitators to physical healthcare do Autistic people experience? Are these different for Autistic people with differing support needs? 3. What, if any, interventions or adaptations to usual care, are used? If present do they reduce barriers, evidenced by improved outcomes? If so what mechanism(s) lead to this improvement?
