Abstract

Asperger's syndrome is a highly complex but poorly understood learning disability which affects about 600000 people in the UK (Hainsworth, 2006). This short article aims to define what Asperger's syndrome is, highlight some of the strengths and weaknesses of having and being Asperger's, highlights some of the available information and literature resources and some simple implications for healthcare staff.
