Résumé

1. To explore why, for whom and in what circumstances, AHCs are effective for people with a learning disability and for autistic people, family/supporters/carers, health and social care staff, and policymakers through a Realist Review of the literature. 2. To develop a programme theory (i.e. an explanatory model) regarding how to improve the delivery or implementation of AHCs. This includes the actions resulting from the AHCs (for example how identified needs are linked to onward referrals/actions) across different contexts for people with a learning disability and for autistic people.
