Abstract

This review will partially build on Becker et al.'s (2023) review of the association between diagnosed ADHD and dementia. The present review will expand on this work by including studies focusing on adults with diagnoses or traits of autism and/or ADHD. As such, this review's main research questions are: 1. Is there an association between autism and/or ADHD (diagnosed or high trait groups) and all-cause dementia? 2. Is there a differential association with different subtypes of dementia (e.g., Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, Lewy body, frontotemporal dementia, etc.)? 3. What factors mediate or moderate the association between autism/ADHD and dementia?
