Abstract

Primary Objective: To systematically integrate and synthesise the available research evidence on the perspectives, experiences, and priorities of late-diagnosed autistic adults concerning post-diagnostic support, in order to map the current landscape of evidence and identify key gaps for future research. Specific Review Questions: 1. What are the self-identified priorities and unmet needs of late-diagnosed autistic adults in the post-diagnostic period? 2. What are the reported experiences, including perceived barriers and facilitators, with accessing and engaging with existing forms of PDS (e.g., psychoeducation, peer support, signposting)? 3. How do late-diagnosed autistic adults define acceptable and effective support, and what are their preferences regarding the delivery, format, and content of interventions?
