Abstract

1. This review will explore and synthesise people's lived experiences of misophonia to gather a deeper understanding of how it can present and what impact it has upon people's lives. This will include both adults' or children's accounts of their experience of living with misophonia, or family members experiences of their family member's misophonia. Qualitative synthesis should allow further meaning and deeper interpretations to be generated that can be an addition to the existing research. 2. To summarise all current qualitative research exploring people's experiences of misophonia. This will help to identify what research has already been conducted and what gaps in the literature remain.
