Introduction Le développement de la musicothérapie en télésanté a commencé avant la COVID-19 et s'est étendu depuis le début de la pandémie. Plusieurs études ont examiné ses avantages et ses inconvénients du point de vue des musicothérapeutes, mais moins d'attention a été accordée aux perspectives des utilisateurs des services et de leurs aidants concernant leurs expériences de télésanté. Cette étude qualitative a exploré les perspectives de parents ayant expérimenté la télésanté en comparaison avec la musicothérapie familiale en présentiel (FCMT) avec leur enfant autiste à Hong Kong. Méthode Quatre enfants autistes et leurs parents ont participé à un programme de FCMT alternant des séances de télésanté et en présentiel pendant sept semaines. À la fin du programme, les parents ont participé à un entretien semi-structuré au cours duquel ils ont été invités à réfléchir à leurs expériences de la FCMT dans les deux contextes, y compris aux avantages et aux défis qu'ils percevaient. Une analyse thématique réflexive de ces entretiens a été menée. Résultats Cinq thèmes principaux et 14 sous-thèmes ont été élaborés, décrivant les avantages et les défis des deux contextes de FCMT sous les aspects suivants : (1) les perceptions des parents quant à leurs rôles ; (2) l'interprétation par les parents des réponses de leur enfant ; (3) les aspects pratiques de la prestation dans les deux contextes, ainsi que (4) les obstacles technologiques dans la FCMT en télésanté ; et (5) les résultats relationnels et développementaux dans l'ensemble du programme. Discussion Les résultats suggèrent que la musicothérapie en télésanté peut être intégrée comme approche complémentaire à la FCMT en présentiel. Le contexte de Hong Kong devrait être pris en compte lors de la conception d'une FCMT en télésanté pour les enfants autistes et leurs familles.
